"Found this video from Dad's retirement ceremony. Listen to how his colleagues talk about his impact on the department. He always said the job was about serving others, never about the glory. That's the man I knew - humble, brave, and always putting others first."

"Captain Chen was the kind of leader who led by example. During the warehouse fire of '98, he was the first one in and the last one out. He saved three people that day, but if you asked him about it, he'd just say he was doing his job. That's who he was - a true hero who never needed the recognition."

Story

"Captain Chen saved my daughter's life when she was trapped in our house fire 15 years ago. He carried her out through the smoke and stayed with us at the hospital until we knew she was okay. Every year on her birthday, he would send her a card. He remembered. That's the kind of man he was - he cared about every single person he helped."
